Du mardi 8 au mercredi 9 mars 2025, s’est tenue à l’hôtel de ville de BATCHAM un atelier de renforcement des capacités, dédié aux “Stratégies de communication et de lobbying de la Commission Communale de Gestion des Paysages (CCGP) de Batcham”. Cette initiative portée par la GIZ, s’inscrit dans le cadre du projet FLR-AREECA qui vise accompaagner le Cameroun dans l’atteinte de son objectif global de restauration des terres dégradées d’une superficie totale de 12 millions hectares de terres au Cameroun.
Animée par Christelle KOUETCHA, experte en communication institutionnelle, cette session avait pour ambition de doter les membres du CCGP de Batcham d’outils pratiques pour une action locale plus autonome, structurée et impactante.
L’atelier visait notamment à :
- Élaborer et mettre en œuvre une stratégie de communication ciblée et cohérente ;
- Renforcer les dynamiques de sensibilisation et de mobilisation des communautés locales autour des enjeux de gestion durable des paysages ;
- Développer des démarches de plaidoyer efficaces auprès des acteurs économiques, partenaires techniques et financiers.
La formation a rassemblé une diversité d’acteurs : les membres de la CCGP de BATCHAM, les représentants de la GIZ, le secrétariat technique du Comité de Gestion des Paysages (CGP) des monts Bamboutos, l’organisation de la société civile DECENTAS, les chefs traditionnels des groupements concernés, ainsi que les représentants de la communauté Mbororo.
Grâce à une approche participative mêlant discussions ouvertes, ateliers collaboratifs et mises en situation, les participants ont pu approfondir leurs compétences en matière de gestion de l’information stratégique, cartographie des parties prenantes et structuration des initiatives de lobbying.

GIZ – DECENTAS – FLR 100 – AREECA – Commission Communale de Gestion des Paysages de Batcham
From Tuesday March 8 to Wednesday March 9, 2025, a capacity-building workshop on “Communication and lobbying strategies for the Commission Communale de Gestion des Paysages (CCGP) de Batcham” was held at the BATCHAM town hall. This initiative, supported by GIZ, is part of the FLR-AREECA project, which aims to support Cameroon in achieving its overall objective of restoring degraded land covering a total area of 12 million hectares in Cameroon.
Led by Christelle KOUETCHA, an expert in institutional communication, this session aimed to equip members of the Batcham CCGP with practical tools for more autonomous, structured and impactful local action.
In particular, the workshop aimed to:
- Develop and implement a targeted and coherent communication strategy;
- Strengthen the dynamics of raising awareness and mobilizing local communities around the challenges of sustainable landscape management;
- Develop effective advocacy approaches with economic players, technical and financial partners.
The training course brought together a wide range of stakeholders: members of the BATCHAM CCGP, GIZ representatives, the technical secretariat of the Comité de Gestion des Paysages (CGP) des monts Bamboutos, the civil society organization DECENTAS, traditional chiefs of the groups concerned, as well as representatives of the Mbororo community.
Thanks to a participatory approach combining open discussion, collaborative workshops and role-playing, participants were able to deepen their skills in strategic information management, stakeholder mapping and structuring lobbying initiatives.
